The time is going to pass anyway.......

Time has been speeding on by right??....This has been the year of long days, and short weeks.....Monday and Friday on repeat, and it is kinda crazy......I hear lots of folks remarking about that same thing......I think as we all get older it becomes important to be more intentional with our time.....it doesn't stretch out in front of us quite like it did when we were 20;-) Today I am on day 12 of my28 day pilates challenge and it occurred to me to talk about the passage of time in terms of that fact......I have spent different parts of my life dissatisfied with how I was feeling physically, and trying to figure out how to feel better....wishing for change.......looking to grab exercise as a potential solution.....and I was successful at certain points.....Right before I got married, before having kiddos, I walked faithfully with a friend right after work up at school.....and then went to Curves a couple of times a week.....and loved it...... I got into good shape, had fun with the ladies I met at Curves, and felt good.....but then I had Gabe, and all of his complications took hold, and that fell off......then the other time I remember being successful at regular exercise was during Covid, the kids and I walked 100s of miles.....literally....I think I had tallied at one point nearly 500 plus miles! ......And that felt good too....something to do amid being shut in and isolated under the weight of his affair, and it proved to be some foreshadowing to, to what was to come.....I think of that often now.....the bonding that took place among the 3 of us before he left.....he didn't walk with us....so the kids and I began this whole life of our walking and setting goals and spending so much time together while I was working from home....Mads was only 3 and then 4, and her little legs kept up, and she did amazing.....it was a good lead in to my starting my fitness journey in the aftermath of my divorce too.....but I get struggling with it...I really do....which is why I always talk about it and write about it.....I have been in all of the places I want to help somebody out of :) ......I guess that is my point.....and I think realizing that the time will pass anyway is a biggie.....I have been doing this challenge for 11 days....days that would have passed me by anyway....and instead they are days that have counted a little more....helping me gain strength, and fitness and expand my goals....and it becomes a choice.....to let another day pass, and still not feel good.....or to be more mindful of doing something, something that will add up in dividends:)....And you are worth it:) I think patience is key too....we all want the results yesterday right lol ;-) but I have found that results are found on the other side of consistency....and the decisions we make each day....the small ones.....they add up, and all of a sudden you see the pay off so clearly.....paying off in dividends....collecting other habits and other things happening for your greater good, and it becomes magic! If you focus a little on something every day it has no chance but to payoff and grow:) This pilates challenge has shined a huge spotlight on a real weakness of mine....yesterday was just an 11 plus minute lower body stretch.....and sometimes she scoots her behind to the wall and has her legs straight up the wall, and there is no possibility of my doing it YET lol;-) my hamstrings and quads are too tight.....I can get close but definitely not like she does....and it hurts some....so it showed me I need to add some more intentional stretching to my workout.....I do a warm up part for my arms and legs that I think is good and helps....but no real stretching.....and I need to.....so I found a couple minute one I am going to try at the beginning of my workout, and see how that helps! So if you are reading this and have been feeling like you are ready for something to change in your life......if the desire to feel healthier and happier is calling to you......listen to that voice, and make a small move....a declaration to yourself that you have your back.....join my February series to start finding your way to where you want to be! I promise you will be so happy to see that some days passed with a different result:) Happy Saturday!
