I have begun to get some practice in life coaching under my belt......I am looking to do some more sample sessions, so if you are reading and would be interested in letting me use you as a guinea pig, I would love that;-) But I am feeling ready to begin to taking on clients as well now, alongside my practicing more, and move forward in the building of my business.......I think people are unsure of what it is....and what it isn't......the coolest thing, is coaching can be used for so many things....for long term goals and the accomplishing of them.....or just a short decision that somebody is struggling to make.....in last night's class we had our practice coaching night.............and there were three practice sessions.....and in the sessions one woman was trying to make a decision about where to move, the other was struggling with what to do because her father lives with her, and she was struggling her feelings around that, and the responsibility, and the last one was struggling in the dating world.......and all three of them came to some sort of wisdom inside of themselves in a short time, and left the session with an action step in place, some more peace of mind, some clarity, and a renewed outlook by way of the coaching process! It is so fun to witness and to be a part of......I am bartering coaching sessions with somebody at the moment which has been fun, and had another woman reach out and want to work toward some things in her life......and I am connecting with her this weekend. And have had some more stuff working out on the horizon, that will help me move forward in the ways I want to. Things are beginning to take shape.......I know that it will require me to continue to put myself out there......continue to get my message heard......and speak my truth and be my authentic self, so that those that are matched to that will come my way:) the coaching process is such an intimate one.....there is a real connection that happens between the coach and the client in the listening......the really deep listening........and in that space.....the coach can clearly hear the client's deep intuition and wisdom, and lead them to grabbing hold of that on their own......empowering them in their life......not telling them what to do.....and that is a huge key difference......when we make change we need to be invested in that change for it to work......and if we are the ones that verbalize the change we are willing to make, and come up with that step on our own, then the likelihood of it working and helping us move forward grows exponentially.......we need to be invested in our own journeys and lives and that is what coaching does.......it gives people the power in their own lives to move forward in the ways they need to......it never grows old for me....to be practicing it or listening to sessions during class and being an observer.......the process is a profound one!
