Romantic means conducive or characterized by the expression of love......and don't we humans love romantic gestures or romance......I know I do:) I seek a beautiful romance in this next chapter of my life and am holding out for such beautiful gestures.......last night I went to Bethel Woods to see Robert Plant and Alison Krauss.....and the show was amazing.....their chemistry on stage as performers was lovely.....you could tell that they both revered and admired each other's musicanship....their harmonies were lovely and their voices together were awesome......it was a great show and a lovely night for one......weather perfect......but a little before the show I witnessed the most beautiful expression of love in a couple......found in such a silly circumstance, and it really touched my heart......there was a couple walking hand in hand on the sidewalk in front of us where we were sitting on the lawn......and she was drinking her wine and missed her mouth some, we have all been there right ;-) and it spilled on the front of her tank top......and she was horrified, and looking at it spilled down the front of her.....she tapped him on his shoulder, and explained what happened....... and he looked over at her with amusement and love, and they walked a little further, and I smiled and looked away, but then my dad said " he is taking off his sock' And when I looked back at the couple, he had taken off his sock for her to wipe up some of what she had spilled on her shirt:).....she was grabbing his face and kissing him, and they were both smiling, and laughing and you could tell she was used to him doing such things, and that she adored him, and the feeling was mutual...... then she did her best to mop it up with his sock....lol and he patiently waited, one foot bare waiting to put his sock and shoe back on......and then he put the sock back on, and his shoe and they walked on hand in hand.....and that is so silly right.....just a snapshot into somebody's life, but to me it was profound......there was a patience, and a kindness, and a "I got you" vibe that I just loved.......her challenge was his challenge......and he was seeking to help her solve it with such love and gentleness.........and that is the kind of love I seek......the kind that is a deep partnership, and friendship alongside a beautiful romance......you could tell they were great friends......and it was so cute......now I am sure the sock did not solve her problem, it was red wine all the way down her tank top.....but the point is he tried, and she accepted, and it was a lovely exchange to witness......I was grateful to have caught it:) The show was amazing and I was so glad I went......Alison Krauss looked incredible and listening to her sing and play the violin was amazing.....gosh she can sing......and can we talk about how old Robert Plant is and he was still killing it:) An amazing night was had indeed!
