So today is my last day! Summer having made its sweet appearance.....beckoning me to adventure, concerts, and days created on my terms......and the gift of summer never gets less for me.....never less sparkly or appreciated......it has always been such a gift for me to be able to share that time with my kids......and I plan on making it count! This summer is 11 weeks, longer than most, and the kids and I are going to meet on Sundays and come up with our weekly plans based on weather and desires.....we are blessed to have an OBX trip planned with some family right on the beach in July......looking forward to that:) Lots of bucket list destinations in PA to hike......and I am currently hatching a few days to Niagara Falls! Planning our annual September beach day, and heading back up to Watkins Glen in October with my parents......but as I have said adventure can be found in the small and the larger things.....it is where you make it and add magic;-) So that is what we seek this summer.......and the kids are actually in school longer than me this year so I also have some unexpected time on my own next week......one of my friends gave me a massage gift certificate for my birthday so that may be in line for next week too;-) And today I have mixed feelings about saying goodbye to this class......they were an awesome class....truly.....one of my favorites, and we created this sweet family space......and it will be hard to say goodbye to them.....and I already look forward to seeing them pass me in the hallway next year and pop in to say hi! I wrote before that they want to be my favorite class, and the truth is my favorite class was a tough act to follow;-)....but I plan on telling them this morning that they moved into that spot.....they have been trying for weeks lol:) We dismiss at 1, I have superlative certificates for them and some treats.....and then summer commences.....on Monday I volunteered to go to Madeline's school to speak to the kids about business building.....her school is doing a business fair, and they asked any parents that have businesses to come in and talk about entrepreneurship, and I am going to do that. I will talk to them about my coaching business and the building of that...... I don't have a chance too often to go to her school due to work, and it is always challenging to get there for all of the events, so I look forward to that! Music fest in Milford this weekend, and our church picnic Sunday, and I get my kiddos this weekend:) So it will be a good way to kick it all off! I am grateful for a great school year.....one where I felt like we gained traction again......finally......making an impact.......and grateful for this special time I get to be with my own children, always such a gift, and work on my business stuff with some respite from the working mama routine;-) Hope you all enjoy the weekend!
