So throughout my life there hasn't been much music I have met and haven't liked......or at the very least found a piece of it that I enjoyed.....my music taste has been eclectic to say the least, since I can remember......you should hear some of the rap that tickles my fancy during my workouts lol:) As a kid I remember getting caught up in all the great albums my parents had......Led Zeppelin......Fleetwood Mac.....Jackson Browne......Styx......Christopher Cross, and Supertramp just to name a few:) used to love listening to them......music playing in the background of our lives......and then I was swept up in my own era Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Michael Jackson.....my first three cassette tapes lol:) cherished items indeed! ......I liked Skid Row and all things glam rock too lol, I had to keep up with those big bangs of mine! .....I enjoyed all of it.....it has forever ranged from Neil Diamond to Pitbull, and literally EVERYTHING in between.....however having said all of that, country used to be one of my least favorite genres of music.....not really finding any that resonated in a way that made me want to take a listen.....I mean maybe for a minute Shania or the Dixie Chicks grabbed my attention at one point, but more as an amusement than anything:) but yeah, nothing ever stayed.........and then enter Chris Stapleton.......he has come on the stations I have listened to the last few years endlessly, and a friend of mine enjoys him too, and has shared some music.....and well I love him......I can't help it :) I think my broad range love of music speaks to my appreciation of musicians......the skill it takes to be one.....the beauty found in their craft........and the gift music is to our lives......I am not sure where I would be if I didn't have music the last three years to lean on fiercely.....I truly mean that.......it has saved me in many ways.......and I admire Chris Stapleton as a musician....and enjoy his music so much.......and my kids do too.......I sing "Joy of My Life" to my kids often.....because well they are :) I alter the words to better suit my situation with them, they love it :) So tonight we get to see him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :):):):):):):)...........On the lawn at Bethel, and Mads has never been to a real concert.....and a little known fun fact is that Mads is highly musical......she has one of the sweetest little singing voices ever.....so melodic and like a little angel:) and loves music...... and we all know how Gabe feels about music;-) so the trio of us music loving spirits are going to be in for a treat tonight......of that I am sure.......I have this feeling he is going to put on a great show.......the weather is clear, and we are so excited! I seek endlessly to share life's adventures with my kids......making memories both big and small......some simple and free like hiking.......some road trips, concerts, things we can swing......just all of it......and this fit the bill:) I can't wait to watch the concert and be immersed in Bethel's magic......because it is a special place indeed, I love the energy there......but I am most looking forward to watching my kids take it all in.....the sparkle in their eyes at dusk, as the music begins......the awe of live music.......mom bliss:) I can't wait!
